Product Types and Suggested Usage


Mulches
Triple-shredded hardwood



Triple-shredded hardwood is a machine-shredded bark mulch that enhances your landscape by providing a formal appearance to your flower beds. It allows excellent compaction, retards evaporation, and enriches your soil through decomposition.





Red dyed cypress hardwood


Red is a bright, decorative, organically dyed hardwood mulch that enhances your yard and provides definition to your gardens. Larger material size and sunscreens in the dye provide extended product life.





Chocolate Brown dyed cypress hardwood



Chocolate Brown is a mid-tone cypress wood, organically dyed hardwood that blends well with many landscape designs. Larger material size and sunscreens in the dye provide extended product life.


 



Natural Color Cypress




Natural Color is a light tan cypress wood, hardwood commonly used as a playground cushion.
 





Soils
50/50 (Turkey manure and topsoil) is custom mixed for outdoor beds and gardens. This planting medium contains turkey manure and weed-free topsoil. Excellent for raising beds or installing new gardens. This soil also provides an ideal base for sod or seeding.

Compost is a ground pine bark and turkey manure watered, turned, and aged to achieve superior pH and nitrogen levels. This may be used as a soil amendment or as a mulch.


Pine Straw - Long Needle. Each bale, free of debris, provides approximately 35 square feet of coverage.


Aggregates
Coquina
is used as a base for driveways.


Slate is composed of quartz and illite and varies in color ranging from black and gray.


Granite #57 is a multi-purpose rock used for drainage, driveways, and fill.


Limestone is light gray in color. Its lightweight makes it easy to work with and provides good coverage.


River Rock varies in size from 3/8" to 3". This cream and tan colored rock is often used in flower beds, ponds, and pathways to provide variation in color and enhance your yard or garden.


Mortar Sand is a fine, white sand used to mix mortar and thinset, as well as a base for flagstone patios, walkways, and on playgrounds.


Rip Rap is a permanent, erosion-resistant ground cover of large, loose angular stone. Used to protect soil from erosion.


Brick chips are used to enhance flowerbeds; the premium size brick chips range from 1/2" to 1".



Sod
Bermuda
prefers full sun, can withstand heavy traffic, retains a beautiful green color, turns brown at the first drop in temperature, aggressive, tolerates drought, but needs water weekly to remain green, shade tolerance is poor.  Mowing height is 1/2" to 2".


Centipede Low maintenance, well adapted to sandy, acid soil, moderately shade tolerant, grows best in the full sun, thrives in moderately acid soil (pH 5 to 6). Mowing height - medium.


St. Augustine thrives in heat, excellent to fair in drought conditions, somewhat shade tolerant, requires plenty of moisture, poor traffic tolerance. Mowing height 2" - 4".
